Natural Beauty, Laid to Perfection

Indian sandstone is the go-to choice for UK patios — and it's easy to see why. Each slab carries the unique marks of its geological formation: subtle colour shifts, natural veining, and a warmth that only real stone can offer. No two patios are ever the same.

We hand-select and blend slabs on site, carefully laying each one on a full mortar bed to ensure a perfectly level, beautifully balanced finish. Available in riven (naturally textured) or smooth (honed) finishes, with a wide palette of colours from golden sands to cool greys.

Key Facts

Durability

When properly sealed, Indian sandstone handles the UK climate with ease. It's frost-resistant and won't spall in winter. Properly laid on a full mortar bed, it stays stable for decades.

Lifespan

30–50+ years. Natural stone doesn't degrade or wear out. With periodic re-sealing and basic care, an Indian sandstone patio is a lifetime investment in your garden.

Colour Options

Raj Green (popular warm mix), Autumn Brown, Kandla Grey, Mint, and Fossil Mint. Each batch has natural variation — we blend slabs on site for a balanced, harmonious finish.

Riven vs Smooth

Riven: naturally textured surface with a traditional feel. Smooth (honed): contemporary, flat surface ideal for modern gardens and outdoor furniture. Both are hard-wearing.

Maintenance

Seal on installation and re-seal every 3–5 years. Sweep and occasional jet wash. Good-quality sandstone is naturally resistant to moss and algae when kept clean.
